The elders announced that Jason Haygood has been offered and accepted the position of minister / evangelist for the Yorba Linda Church of Christ.

His start date and first sermon will be July 17.

This decision was not entered without considerable prayer and discussion, especially considering Jason was the first man to formally try out for the position. The elders have spent hundreds of hours reviewing resumes, talking with potential candidates, and investigating references for the 70+ candidates who responded to our requests for applications.

The elders reviewed the responses from the congregation after Jason spoke for us on May 8th, which were overwhelmingly positive. We formulated a series of questions based on the comments in those responses, and reviewed the answers provided by Jason which we considered better than satisfactory. We believe that Jason meets the qualifications set forth by the elders with input from the congregation, and believe that he and Robyn will be a valuable addition to the congregation.
